"Tim Holtz Adirondack Alcohol Ink"
I would like to talk about this product and review it.
First the description of the product on Rangerink.com is as follows.
Acid-free, fast drying transparent coordinating dye inks specially formulated to create a colorful, polished stone effect. Use on glossy paper, dominoes, metal, shrink plastic, glass, and other slick surfaces. Available in 18 exciting 3-color palettes.
The Review: If you looked at my tutorials you will notice some of them are about alcohol ink techniques. That's because I absolutely love these little bottles of awesomeness! While there are multiple brands of Alcohol Ink, Tim Holtz brand is my favorite.
Alcohol Inks come in a variety of bold and beautiful colors and are super easy to use. I mostly use them in my art journals on porous pages and while this won't give you the effect they do on non-porous surfaces, they still give a pretty cool look.
On non-porous surfaces, the alcohol inks come out looking like the picture below and the tutorial can be found under my Home Decor Tutorials.
You can also use also use alcohol inks to paint like the picture below.
As you can see alcohol inks are an awesome medium that I think anyone can master and there really is not a downside to them that I have found.
