I Made It: Bohemian Inspired Trays

My Tray

As you can see i did not go with the bohemian style with this one, but you don't have too. I like that you can make your own style with this craft. The tray I got at Dollar Tree, which was originally a pizza tray. I then spray painted the tray and then used scrap booking paper cut to size, and modpodge it to the tray.

This project was super easy and adds spice to wherever you put the tray. :)

I Made It: Macrame Hanging Planters

I put these in the bedroom downstairs by the windows to brighten up the room and I think they turned out great. The difficulty level was medium because Ii kept getting confused on how to make the macrame style with the cloth. 

They tell you to use fabric that is a jersey knit. I just used some colorful t shirts and they worked fine.

I found plates and candle holders at my local thrift store and then spray painted the plates. If i was to do this craft again i would find matching plates in different sizes so i dont have to spray paint because it was a pain in the butt lol.

I used the tutorial here to make Tea Cup Bird Feeders and then used a marble technique which you can find here. 

I loved how easy this tutorial was and the marbling was easy too. My teacups turned out darling and i absolutely love them so do the birds :)

Coloring To De-Stress

You probably have seen the adult coloring books by now in nearly all craft stores. You might have even noticed the apps and magazines for adult coloring. What you probably did not know is why they are so popular? They DE-STRESS. 

You know how it feels to come home after a long day at work or a long day with the kids and you are like ready to explode. Yeah, it sucks!

So what do you do about it?

Well if you are a crafter/artist like me, (and even if your not) I found that the best way for me to wind down is to COLOR. 

Color color color, is in my opinion is the best way to relax. You just sit their and fill in lines to your hearts content. You don't think about anything more than what color should I use next. Coloring gets my mind off things. 

Now your probably wondering what is the difference between an Adult coloring book and a kids coloring book. The best way I can describe it is Adult Coloring books are way more advanced as there are not alot of big spaces to color in, there are more designs than anything.

The best thing I found is you don't have to buy a coloring book as there are many beautiful coloring sheets out there on the internet you just have to do a google search.  To celebrate valentines day that's coming up here is a free Coloring sheet I found on the web.
